NetWX mast above event tent — temporary network infrastructure on site

This is how we build a network
that is only there for a while.

Listen first.
Then build. Then monitor.

  1. You tell us, we listen. Where, when, how many people, and what absolutely has to work: tills, a livestream, cameras, access control? A fifteen-minute conversation is usually enough. After that we know what connection exists on site and what we need to bring.
  2. We design and build. You receive a tailored proposal: which mast, which connections, where the WiFi goes and where cables are needed. On the day itself, or the day before for larger setups, we are there and build everything.
  3. We monitor and clear up. During your event we monitor remotely and step in before you notice anything. If you prefer someone on site, a technician stays for the whole day. You watch along yourself through your customer portal. Afterwards we take everything away and you receive a short report.

What a temporary network is made of

Six building blocks, each in plain language. What it is, and why it matters.

The connection

No internet on site? Then we bring it: 5G from several operators, satellite, a fixed line or a point-to-point link. Usually a combination. All connections work at the same time, and if one drops, traffic simply continues over the others. Nobody on site notices a thing.

If one connection drops, the rest takes over. Automatically.

One connection, made up of several

A livestream or a video call normally runs over a single line. If it drops, the stream drops. With us, 5G and satellite run together as one connection, through a secure tunnel to our own servers. If a line drops, the stream does not notice: no stutter, no reconnect.

Several locations, one network

A trade show in two buildings, a head office and a construction site, a festival with a backstage three streets away: we link those locations so they sit in one network. Tills, cameras, printers and servers see each other as if they were in the same building. Secure, without anything crossing the open internet.

5G multi-operatorMultiple SIM cards from different operators for redundancy
StarlinkSatellite internet for locations beyond reach of fixed connections
Fixed line / fibreWhere available: the fastest and most stable option
PtP microwave linkPoint-to-point microwave for remote locations or across large sites

WiFi on site

Professional wireless coverage with managed enterprise-class access points. We calculate positioning based on the site and expected density — no dead spots, no overload.

Outdoor access pointsWeather-resistant units for outdoor areas, stages and car parks
Indoor coverageTents, pavilions, offices and complex buildings
Zones & captive portalsSeparate networks per zone, with optional login page
High densityConfigured for hundreds of concurrent connections per access point

Cables and switches

The backbone of every network. We lay temporary cabling — from short patch cables to hundreds of metres of fibre — and connect everything via managed switches fully configured for your use case.

Temporary fibreFor long distances and high bandwidth between locations on site
Copper cablingCat6/Cat6A for short runs and peripheral equipment
Managed switchesSegmentation configuration, PoE for access points, monitoring built in

Zones: who sees what

At an event, organisers, point-of-sale, press, emergency services and visitors mingle — but on the network they don't need to see each other. We strictly segment every type of traffic from every other.

Organisation networkInternal network for staff, servers and management — fully isolated
Point-of-sale / POSIsolated network for payment traffic with enhanced security
Press & mediaGuaranteed bandwidth for press accreditation and livestreams
Emergency servicesDedicated segment for police, fire and medical services
Visitor WiFiPublic guest network with bandwidth limiting and captive portal

Priority for what matters

Not all traffic is equally critical. Payments and livestreams always get priority. Visitor WiFi is throttled so critical systems always have the bandwidth they need.

Priority queuesCritical traffic (POS, VoIP, streaming) gets guaranteed bandwidth
Bandwidth limitingConfigurable per segment or per user — prevents overload
Load balancingTraffic automatically distributed across multiple WAN connections

We watch along

The network is actively monitored during the event. Via our portal, all devices, connections and statistics are visible in real time. Problems are detected before they reach you — not after.

Real-time dashboardsVisibility on every device, every link and every data point
Automatic alertsOn outage or threshold breach, immediate notification to our team
Remote supportIssues resolved remotely where possible — no waiting
Post-event reportOverview of usage, incidents and performance after the event

A sign-in page
in your own branding.

Visitors who want your WiFi first see a sign-in page. We build it in your branding: your logo, your colours, your welcome text, in Dutch, French, English or German. Handy for a sponsor, a programme or a link to your ticket shop or web shop.

You choose how visitors connect: straight away, with an email address, with a voucher or via their social account. We set it up, there is nothing you need to do.

NetWX Connect: the tool that builds the sign-in page in the customer's branding, with live preview Example: the Swing Wespelaar sign-in page on a smartphone

What we build it with

Product names are secondary — the solution comes first. But these are the platforms we work with.

NetBeam hub

Our modular central platform. Combines multiple WAN connections, handles automatic failover and load balancing, and manages network segmentation, QoS and monitoring from one point.

  • Multi-WAN aggregation
  • Automatic failover
  • Segmentation & QoS management
  • Real-time monitoring portal

Custom

On request

Beyond our own platforms, we integrate everything a specific situation calls for: PtP links, site-to-site VPN, temporary fibre runs, specific switching configurations.

  • PtP microwave links
  • Site-to-site VPN
  • Temporary fibre runs
  • Captive portals

You don't need to call us
to know how the network is performing.

Every NetWX installation is connected to our monitoring platform. Your client portal gives you real-time insight into what's happening on the network — during and after the event.

Accessible via portal.netwx.be

Your client portal is accessible via any browser, including on mobile. No installation, no technical knowledge required.
